For the many people that cannot afford to get their hands on a Ferrari sports car, computer giant Acer has released the next best thing – the Ferrari netbook.

Whilst the likes of movie stars and footballers are probably used to seeing the famous Ferrari badge on their vehicles for us normal people the closest we will get to a Ferrari badge is seeing one on the television on in magazines. However, thanks to computer giant Acer you no longer have to spend tens of thousands of pounds on a sporty car to own something with a Ferrari badge on it, as you can now have this distinctive badge on your very own netbook.

Acer has announced the launch of its Ferrari One laptop recently, and this hot red, ultra thin netbook is likely to prove popular amongst those that want to stand out from the crowd. The netbook, as the name suggests, carries the Ferrari badge, and Acer has touted the new offering as ‘the world’s most exclusive netbook’.

The cost of the netbook is a little higher than the average, with a retail price tag of just under four hundred pounds. It comes with a high definition 11.6 inch display, which is slightly larger than the display that comes on most standard netbook models. The model comes with Windows 7 Home Premium, and because of this it will not be available until late October.

Acer has said that the new netbook offers excellent performance, great portability, and beautiful, sleek design, and it comes with a range of features that are likely to make it a strong contender for many a Christmas shopping list.
