For those that are in fear of their netbook getting damaged due to being dropped or due to spillages a new Samsung netbook that comes with increased durability could be just the answer.

For many people buying a netbook is a big investment, and naturally many people are nervous about their netbooks sustaining damage such as being dropped by accident or suffering damage as a result of a spill. However, for those that want to reduce the risk of their netbook getting damage a new model has been launched by technical giant Samsung, which boasts superior durability and the ability to withstand some accidents.

The new netbook from Samsung is called the NB30, and its unique feature is its rugged design that is made to withstand potentially damaging accidents such as drops and spills. The netbook comes with a rubberised lid that has a watertight seal, so it can withstand spillages of up to 50cc of liquid. In addition to this it comes with a shock and scratch resistant case, which also minimises the risk of damage.

A freefall sensor is built into the hard drive, and this is able to sense when the netbook has been dropped and park the disk heads accordingly to minimise on damage. The NB30 also has a 10.1 inch screen that is touch sensitive and recognises multi-touch gestures. The LED backlighting on the display means that users also get to benefit from eleven hours of battery life.

The Intel Atom N450 is the processor chip that is used with the Samsun NB30, and the rugged netbook is set to be available from March. The system offers a sleek and modern design, and users will have the peace of mind that it comes from a manufacturer that is well known and has a history of manufacturing high quality products.
